Every time when I need some pattern for website background or some design elements, I always end up betting on google and opening tons of tab just to settle down on some high quality patterns.

I think the best feature of the website are their “download” button, without any ads or hidden link, you just click the download button, and BOOM, it will straight download the pattern file that can be tile together.

Since HTML5 Video support come out, I always finding a way to implemented it into my clients website, but I have a lot problems dealing with browser compatibility (some still don’t support HTML 5 technology) and the video filetype conflicts (ogg, webm, h264), well, stress no more, because SublimeVideo just make their HTML 5 video player free! But it’s not without trade-off, your video showing will have their logo watermark on it, to disable the water-mark, you have to subscribe to their plan as below.

The player design are sexy and apple-like. For WordPress user, you can get the plugin from here and easily implement it on your site.

You can meet me halfway for break at starbuck when you are tired shopping at Mid Valley, if you are boring, you can meet me halfway using MSN, but if you have no time, we can meet halfway during the month of december, which is during chrismas time, or we can sometimes meet at halfway during our dream about life at a planet called φαντασία.
But anyway, black eyes peas comes out with a new music video with their latest “radio” song “meet me halfway”, the song sound very weird at first, but after they pair with the music video, it sound AWESOME. Why ler ?? because..
1. Although fergie is not that beautiful, but come on, girl with sexy clothes with mysterious forest background!!! it’s working, the you can see, but you cannot see effect.
2. Wicked gadget like honeycomb spectacles and big triangle chest bling, merge with legendary dessert, you come out with cray guy in the middle of no where.
3. The elephant with alien backpack are cute.
4. The sunray prove clothes are cool.
5. I love to explore hole.
6. The silver and square triangle are damn cool.
But what i like is the visual and the concept is damn cool.

Addicted to emo
Wow, what a long gap between the last post and today’s post, why ler? maybe it’s because of the economy crisis, or maybe it’s because the weather was so hot, or it’s cause by a series of unfortunate events, or maybe.. 30% of it cause by the gig in the sky, or sometimes, maybe it’s because the death and all his friends, well, forget about it, because I have a good news for everyone, I am addicted to emo, ahaha, that’s right, I even produce a emo motion to fix my emo. So, happy emo to everyone !!!

After 2 month on and off with the design and the coding, finally I was able to release my second version of qilayout.com design to the wild. Proper Heading for Websites
Heading is an important element in HTML coding were it can define the structure of your content, help with search engine categorizing, and for accessibility. But don’t overuse he heading tag, because it’s better to use the heading tag for structure and use CSS to define the rest of the paragraph.

Shade Gesture Drawing
Well, I am hard at re-learning drawing these day, the one that I come by is the shade gesture drawing, well, it’s not about the drawing, it’s about the effect it created, it’s very interesting, I think I can make a short animated movie based on it because character that are drawn with this style is both uniques and fun to look at. Well, maybe someday I will make use of it.

Recently I stumble upon many useful action that can do something unique to your photo. One of them is the “Cube” Above, which will turn my flat photo into a cubical cube.
“Photoshop Action”, what you think about it? is it sound like a difficult term if you are a photoshop newbie or it’s a wonderful tool if you are a photoshop seasonal, to me, actions is like a robot that can help you do things quickly with just one click and you don’t need to have any photoshop skill to start using it either, it’s just damn the most wonderful things in the world.

Well…one of the tiny little new feature of Mac OS Leopard was the “Mosaic view” screensaver, with this screen saver, you will notices that your images is completely make up of your picture in your photo library, it match the color, hi light, shadow area of your images.
THis is a astonishing method of viewing your images because it’s simply magical, and it’s one of the detail that make MAc simply better than windows.

I learn a new technic a few day ago, it’s call pixel art….here’s the definition of pixel art by wikipedia…

Well, today I found a bunch of new Filter, not in Photoshop but in “pixelmator”, some of the filter that are found on this software are totally different from photoshop, which make it fun and unique, ohh, and the way the filter is apply is totally awesome as you can see above, the area that the filter affected is link by a rope !!! a real rope that have movement, that so way cooll!!!!

“What is Design”
Design involves finding solutions that fit the user, task, and context of use. Properly designed objects — including software, tools, and web sites — fit their context so well that they are easy to use and beneficial to the user.
Design is:

When you wanted to design somethings, you cannot simply just grab some picture and put it on on one white paper, you have to use “Languages of Design” to design a good pieces of design.

New Color Trend?
Well, Today apple unveil a whole new line of Ipod, which include Ipod Shuffle, Ipod Nano, Ipod Classic and the most awesome is the “Ipod Touch” which included all of the iphone technology minus the Phone, but one thing that border me is,,,,,why the ipod nano and ipod shuffle had change from a vibrant color to some soft “pastel” color. Yeah, it’s weird, because it look kinda boring, but it a nice and adventurous thing to do, well, they change the whole line of color and mix and match it, Apple is really a big giant with giant heart…

Well, after year and year of anticipation, finally, my finger can touch on a devices that call “Wacom Tablet” that so call the greatest pen tablet in the world, well, that’s what I heart from Paris Hilton “THat’s Hot”.
But the Wacom Tablet was not mine, it was mine housemate who had to buy it because he was engage in Animation Education, so, very happily, I borrow from him to experiment this awesome gadget, soo, I plug the USB into my macbook and then “booom” I then use the pen to draw images on it…well, it really strange… and the outcome is above, hope you like it…I really enjoying using it, need to buy it in future, but right now, no money..

Well, the must longer anticipated Ilife and Iwork suite had finally arrive and in their introduction pages, they introduce a new kind of visual for presenting images, which is very high class and 3D like….so, after mimicking their style, I make my own,,,,it quite easy to do, mainly using the photoshop “transform” tools to distort the images.. so the result was very much satisfactory….
